Using my experience in education and training, I have developed or facilitated the development of – a Child Care Curriculum at a college – a training course for residential energy efficiency – a Grain Analyst training program.

One of these became the national model for future courses while another won a national award.

I use a competency-based training model to ensure that training is specific to the job and employees can become functional as soon as possible rather than at the end of the course.

A competency-based model also ensures that employees learn to apply the skills of the job and not just the theory.

Once developed, a competency job outline can also be used for both recruitment and performance management.
